什么是大理石结晶？
大理石结晶粉是一种结晶粉，主要成份为钙镁盐，化学性质较不稳定，经过翻新抛光后，为了增加表面硬度而采取的工艺 ( 玻璃质化 Vitrification)，目的是固化表面分子结构、增加耐磨度、加强大理石表面硬度。大理石结晶粉可将大理石表面的碳酸钙分解并使游离出石材结构，随后藉由结晶粉中的活性离子与表面溶离的钙离子反应，产生坚硬致密的钙化结晶物。因此结晶后表层会较具耐磨耗性且不易刮伤。若处理得宜，其晶化表层结晶状况致密良好时，对石材光泽度提高及防污，防水性亦产生一定效果。
大理石（英文：Marble）是石灰岩或白云岩受接触或区域变质作用而重新结晶的产物，矿物成分主要为方解石，遇盐酸反应产生二氧化碳，具有等粒或不等粒的变晶结构，颗粒粗细不一。一般是白色，如果含有不同的杂质，就有各种不同的颜色，所以剖面可以形成一幅天然的水墨山水画，古代常选取具有成型的花纹的大理石用来制作画屏或镶嵌画，后来大理石这个名称逐渐发展成称呼一切有各种颜色花纹的，用来做建筑装饰材料的石灰岩，白色大理石一般称为汉白玉，但对翻译西方制作雕像的白色大理石也称为大理石。
