金珍珠是一种海水养殖珠，是白色南洋珍珠的兄弟。金色珍珠产自白唇贝（Whitelipped）或金唇贝（GoldLipped）中，这两种贝主要分布在缅甸、新几内亚、印度、日本、菲律宾、印度尼西亚、澳大利亚、中国、泰国等地。因其体积巨大，故可养殖出9～16mm的白色或金色南洋珍珠，金色珍珠的产量极少，价格昂贵。
珍珠拥有从白到黑色色彩广域，天然珍珠其自然的颜色由多种因素决定。对于单个珍珠而言，其颜色区分为：BodyColor主体色：珍珠主体的基本颜色，是珍珠的主色调。Overtone辅助色：在珍珠体表面所体现的其他辅助色颜色，对于深色珍珠如黑珍珠，辅助色在其浅色部分，对于浅色珍珠如白珍珠，辅助色在其深色部分。
