　　她解释说，幽默通常是通过在词语解释和句子构建中使用歧义来制造替代意义，从而为一种场景添加滑稽元素。例如，"we saw her duck" 这句英语有双重含义：我们看到了一只属于她的鸭子，或者我们看到她从某种伤害中逃开来。

　　德国喜剧演员克里斯蒂安·舒尔特-劳（Christian Schulte-Loh）对此也有同感。他完全意识到德国人的刻板印象，他在他的新书"ZumLachen auf die Insel（《带着笑话来到英格兰》）"中写道，德国人过于诚实但不够礼貌，英国人则过于温文尔雅而不够坦诚。
