　　sand和beach有何区别？

　　beach是沙滩的意思，sand是沙子。

　　沙滩就是由于沙子淤积形成的沿水边的陆地或水中高出水面的平地。我国有名沙滩：北海银滩、中国第一长滩、嵊泗基湖沙滩、三亚亚龙湾等等。

　　沙子，指细小的石粒，或者是形状像沙子的东西。也喻指不完美的瑕疵。砂，有很多种类，有河砂，海砂，金属砂，天然砂岩粉化后的砂，等等!说偏离一点，还有砂布。普通河砂主要成份是二氧化硅(SiO₂)。砂中一般含有少量泥土，泥土含量由建筑物等级高低而限定。

　　沙(砂)子的用途很广泛:它除了用於建筑、修路、过滤、养殖美化、当冶炼的速容剂外、还是制造玻璃的主要材料它含硅元素、在体育运动上除了沙池外还可做练拳的沙包、防洪用的沙包它功不可没。
