种群年龄组成（population age structure）又称种群年龄结构，种群年龄分布。是指种群中各年龄期个体数在种群中所占的比例。种群年龄结构常用年龄锥体来表示。通常将种群中个体按年龄级分成若干组，每组个体数按比例划成方框图，然后从幼年组至老年组垒起来排列，就构成了年龄金字塔（age pyramid）也就是年龄锥体。从年龄金字塔的形状可以看出种群发展趋势（动态）和生产性特点。
