　　面板数据是什么？

　　面板数据，即Panel Data，也叫“平行数据”，是指在时间序列上取多个截面，在这些截面上同时选取样本观测值所构成的样本数据。传统的计量模型分为时间序列模型和截面模型，对于前者的深入分析很多超出了经典计量经济学的范畴，而在金融邻域应用较多，而经济学上往往更加关心的是截面模型，这一模型可以写作，其中都是维的列向量，表示截面上的个样本，而是维列向量，第列表示各个样本第个因素的观测值。例如，我们可以利用上述模型研究150个国家消费和GDP之间的关系。

　　而面板数据分析中，我们得到的是比如说是3年中150个国家消费和GDP的数据，此时，我们可以更加深入地研究消费和GDP的关系，除了样本量本身增大之外，有可能我们会思考是不是不同国家的消费和GDP的关系不同
